Details of October Train Strikes Announced

The West Coast Partnership have announced that a series of strikes have been confirmed during October. They have advised as follows:

On 1 and 5 October, Avanti West Coast trains will not be running on any routes.

On 8 October, Avanti West Coast trains will be running a significantly reduced timetable. Services that do run are likely to be extremely busy. There is likely to be disruption to any journey. Customers are advised to avoid travelling by rail if at all possible.

Once completed, a revised timetable will be available here.

Customers with tickets dated 1 – 9 October can claim a full refund from their point of purchase, or use them on the following dates. This information is accurate as of 28 September, however, customers are advised to continue to check the Avanti West Coast website for the most up to date details

  • Tickets dated 1 October will be accepted between 28 September and 4 October
  • Tickets dated 5 October will be accepted between 28 September and 7 October
  • Tickets dated 8 October will be accepted between 28 September and 10 October
