mfg Solicitors bring businesses together as they host Birmingham charity quiz night

Law firm mfg Solicitors hosted its charity quiz for the second year running and raised a total of £5,200, which included £1,000 from the firm’s MFG Charitable Foundation, for one of the firm’s chosen charities, the Birmingham Crisis Centre.

The event brought together more than 120 professionals from across the city for an evening of friendly competition – all in support of the charity, which provides vital refuge and support for women and children escaping domestic abuse.

The evening began with Julie Kilkelly from Birmingham Crisis Centre introducing the charity and the fantastic work that they do. Partner Clare Lang then spoke about the charity’s importance to mfg’s Birmingham office before passing the reins to Employment Partner Tim Lang, who took on quiz master duties for the evening.

The quiz was won by the team from No5 Barristers’ Chambers, with St Philips Barristers Chambers taking home the wooden spoons.

Clare Lang, Partner at mfg Solicitors, said: “The quiz night was a fantastic success and it was great to see so many in attendance from across the city come together in support of such an important cause. Birmingham Crisis Centre provides life-changing support for women and children at their most vulnerable, and we’re proud to be able to help raise both funds and awareness for their work.”
