Discover the Freedom of Bus Travel with TfWM’s Try-Before-You-Buy Scheme

Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) is making it easier than ever for people to explore the local bus network with confidence. Thanks to a £19 million Government-funded initiative, TfWM is offering thousands of people the chance to try bus travel before committing to a regular ticket.

Currently, this exclusive scheme is available through organisations, meaning employees, colleagues, or people you work with can take advantage of this fantastic opportunity. It’s designed specifically for those who don’t regularly use public transport and might usually rely on driving or other methods to get around.

Who Can Benefit?

This initiative is perfect for people in a variety of situations, including those traveling to:

  • Work at public, private, or NHS organisations
  • Newly bought or rented homes
  • Training or new jobs (including students, graduates, and school or college leavers)
  • Leisure activities such as shopping centres, gyms, sports matches, concerts, places of worship, care homes, and charity work

It’s also designed to help people who may face challenges in accessing public transport and opportunities, such as:

  • Young carers and care leavers
  • Refugees
  • People on probation
  • Individuals with health issues not covered by an ENCTS pass
  • Residents from low-income households
  • Those recently leaving the criminal justice system
  • People not currently in employment, education, or training

How to Get Started

Organisations can register to take part and help their employees or associates benefit from this unique offer. It’s a risk-free way to experience the convenience, flexibility, and affordability of bus travel across the West Midlands.
