The cathedral choir will perform a concert to mark the launch of our Divine Harmony Cathedral Organ Appeal, working towards an essential and major clean and overhaul of the cathedral organ to take place, hopefully, in 2029. This will also be the first choir concert accompanied by Conor McGlone, our new Assistant Director of Music.
The programme contains a number of choral classics, such as Parry’s I was glad, Franck’s Panis Angelicus and Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus, all of which particularly showcase the organ and its fundamental importance to the construction of those pieces and to the work of the cathedral choir in general.
The concert will last an hour with admission by donation to the Divine Harmony Fund.
