Since retiring in 2024 as one of England’s great rugby players, host Joe Marler has come a long way – his appearance in the first series of The Celebrity Traitors helping push him firmly into the mainstream.
Joe’s ‘Big Dog Theory’, relentless Traitor hunting and ability to read people sparked inspiration for a new show format. In Joe Marler Will See You Now, Joe welcomes a different celebrity into his ‘practice’ and attempts to use his acute observational skills to get inside their mind through probing questions and unusual mind games.
However, Joe could not have made it happen without his co-host and research assistant, Jake Bhardwaj . The comedian and host of the smash hit live show Not Another Quiz Night, and Saturday Night Live’s 5toLive is on hand to support Joe whenever he needs, which turns out to be quite a lot. He expertly walks the line between delivering laughs and driving the conversation forward, all while keeping Joe out of trouble.
With a large, highly engaged audience now established, Joe Marler and Jake Bhardwaj will bring the live show to life each night alongside a different famous guest, diving into the complexities of the celebrity mind to deliver something far beyond a typical interview.
Expanding on the podcast’s reputation for anarchy and empathy in equal measure, each date will combine ludicrous set-pieces, immersive audience participation and a must-see peak behind the curtain of the mayhem that goes into making the programme.
