Six By Nico Announces ‘Amalfi Coast’ Inspired Menu

Six by Nico will take guests on a culinary experience across one of Italy’s most iconic landscapes, the Amalfi Coast, through its signature six course tasting menu from 1 July – 11 August.

The Colmore Row based restaurant, Six by Nico, has announced that Amalfi Coast, the third menu in its ‘Summer Series’, will be launching for six weeks from 1 July.

The six-course tasting menu will take guests on a culinary adventure to the Italian coast, known and loved for its breath-taking scenery and world-famous cuisine.

Taking inspiration from southern Italy’s most traditional dishes, ‘Amalfi Coast’, will take diners on a summer adventure across one of Europe’s most visited landscapes. This six-course tasting menu, rich in colour and flavour, combines elements of both traditional and modern Italian cuisine to provide guests with a taste of the country’s flavourful history.

For £42, guests will be able to enjoy a taste of the Amalfi Coast through dishes such as the Pomodori Antichi starter – green olive tapenade with salted lemon, lovage emulsion & whipped ricotta, for the second starter the Spaghetti Nero – toasted sourdough, topped with chilli, roasted garlic & provolone del Monaco foam, and for mains, Pollock Nero – bagna cauda, zucchini with braised fennel and a basil dressing, and Tris di Maiale – belly of pork, pancetta ham jam, ‘nduja cannelloni, smoked onion and pickled summer squash.  For the desert, guests can enjoy Six by Nico’s take on the classic Delizia al Limone featuring lemon mousseline, polenta cake, caramelised white chocolate, and yoghurt sorbet.

Founder of Six by Nico and Chef, Nico Simeone, said: “There is no doubt that Italy’s Amalfi Coast is one of the world’s richest culinary landscapes and it felt only right that we dedicate our summer menu to its Mediterranean coastline. This stunning region is famous for its local fresh produce from tomatoes and olive oil to incredible seafood, and zesty lemons which we have used throughout the menu. We can’t wait to bring a taste of Italian luxury to Birmingham this summer!”

The Amalfi Coast six-course menu will be available at Six by Nico Birmingham between Monday 1st July and Sunday 11th August.
