Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery among local landmarks included on new edition of MONOPOLY: Birmingham

Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery is one of the city’s landmarks featured in the new MONOPOLY: Birmingham edition launched by Hasbro Winning Moves Ltd on Thursday 5 November at Medicine Bakery at The Mailbox.

The Grade II* listed building, which first opened to the public in 1885, has secured a place on the Birmingham edition of the iconic board game, appearing alongside other locations that reflect the character, heritage and identity of the city, including St Philip’s Cathedral, the Grand Hotel and the Library of Birmingham.

The new MONOPOLY: Birmingham edition is available to buy in person and online from the museum’s gift shop from 6 November.

Adam Keegan, head of enterprise at Birmingham Museums Trust, said:

“Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery is such an important part of the city’s identity, so it’s fantastic to see it included in the new MONOPOLY: Birmingham edition.

“It’s a wonderful way of recognising the role the museum plays in Birmingham’s story and its sense of civic pride.”
