Centrick recognised with four-star rating in British Safety Council Audit

Centrick’s Building & Estate Management division has been awarded a Four-Star ‘Very Good’ rating in its first-ever British Safety Council Five Star Occupational Health & Safety Audit.

This respected accreditation recognises Centrick’s strong performance across leadership, governance, risk management, employee wellbeing and digital integration. The result demonstrates that Centrick’s health and safety standards go well beyond legal compliance and closely align with best practice above and beyond ISO 45001 requirements.

The independent audit highlighted Centrick’s visible leadership commitment, proactive safety culture, high-quality working environments, and the effective use of digital platforms to support real-time risk management. The robust evaluation included a comprehensive review of occupational health and safety policies, interviews with senior management and team members, and sampling of operational practices.

The BSC commented on Centrick’s audit and results:

“Centrick has demonstrated a clear commitment to embedding health and safety into every level of its operations. The organisation’s leadership visibility, engagement with employees, and proactive approach to risk management are particularly strong. Achieving a four-star rating in a first-time audit reflects a mature and well-structured system with excellent foundations for continuous improvement.”

Phil Johns, Managing Director at Centrick, added:

“This result reflects the dedication of every Centrick team member and our unwavering commitment to putting safety and well-being first. Gaining this external recognition is a proud milestone for the business and reinforces our

drive to continually raise standards as we grow. Being only 0.70% away from 5 stars on our first audit has already got us looking ahead to securing a five-star rating next time around.”

Matt Brace, Director of Compliance at Centrick, said:

“Securing a four-star rating in our first audit is an outstanding achievement and a testament to the strength of our systems and our people. As we continue to embed and evolve our approach, we’re confident in our ability to build on this success and reach the highest standard in future assessments.”
