Join us for this special screening series that celebrates the unforgettable characters and performers who have shaped British humour across generations. Featuring three iconic films, the programme brings together slapstick, classic duos, and satirical brilliance to honour the rich tradition of British comedy. This month’s feature : Stand & Ollie   Laurel and Hardy, the world’s most famous comedy duo, attempt to reignite their film careers as they embark on what becomes their swan song: a gruelling theatre tour of post-war Britain.   Film rating: PG    Before the screening   Explore the exhibition I Photograph Comedians. The exhibition features nearly 80 images, including studio portraits, rare contemplative moments off-stage and live stage performances. It also features comedy memorabilia, including a signed pair of Rik Mayall’s underpants and photographs of iconic objects such as Billy Connolly’s banana boots.      This combined exhibition-and-film experience invites audiences to reflect on Britain’s comedic legacy both on stage and behind the camera before settling in to enjoy some of the most beloved films in British comedy history.     Event Information   Entrace Gas Hall – Edmund St.   Doors open from 6pm to explore the exhibition.   Film starts at 6.30pm.   Pre-booking is essential as places are limited.
