The Brummie Pre-Raphaelite: A Celebration of Edward Burne Jones

We will be following in the footsteps of one of Burne Jones super fans – Bernard Sleigh, a student from the School of Art in the early 20th century. Sleigh was so moved by Burne Jones’ The Star of Bethlehem, he laid flowers in front of the painting every year on 28th August. To honour this, join us in making decorative paper flowers to place at the foot of the painting. This, and more: Large scale drawing sessions with the Artist Tat Vision Guided views of The Star of Bethlehem within closed gallery spaces Edward Burne Jones Spotlight tours in the Museum’s Pre-Raphaelite galleries & beyond! Including some of Bernard Sleigh’s works within the collection
