Competition Terms and Conditions

Colmore BID Seasonal Treasure Hunt 

1. Organiser
The competition is organised by Colmore Business Improvement District (Colmore BID).

2. Eligibility
The competition is open to UK residents aged 18 and over. Employees, Board Directors, and immediate family members of Colmore BID and participating venues are not eligible to enter.

3. How to Enter
Clues to prize locations will be posted on Colmore BID’s social media channels. Participants must follow the clues to find the hidden prizes located within the Colmore Business District.

4. Competition Period
The competition runs for a set period of one hour from the time the first clue is posted. Any prizes found outside of this time frame will not be valid.

5. Prizes & Availability
Prizes may include chocolate, sweets, drinks or giveaways from local bars, restaurants, and venues. Prizes are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

Some locations may have a main prize for the first person or team to arrive, along with smaller prizes for subsequent finders. The number of prizes is limited and once all prizes at a location have been claimed, Colmore BID will aim to communicate this via social media channels.

Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged. A prize from one location cannot be swapped with another. Food and drink prizes may contain allergens – participants should check with the venue or any packaging before consumption.

6. Winner Selection & Notification
The first person or team to locate a hidden prize and correctly follow the instructions provided (for example, presenting the prize at a specified location) will be deemed the winner of that prize.

7. Venue Responsibility
Where a prize is provided by a venue, that venue is responsible for all further communication and prize fulfilment. Colmore BID is not responsible for the delivery, quality, or terms of third-party prizes. Any issues regarding prize redemption should be directed to the relevant venue.

8. Fair Play
Participants must not remove, hide, relocate, or tamper with prizes intended for other participants. Any attempt to manipulate or unfairly influence the competition may result in disqualification.

9. Data Protection & Publicity
By participating, winners agree that their name and/or photograph may be used in Colmore BID’s social media posts announcing prize winners. Personal data will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and Colmore BID’s privacy policy:

10. Liability
Participants take part at their own risk. Colmore BID accepts no responsibility for any accidents, injuries, loss, or damage that may occur while participating in the competition. Participants should remain aware of their surroundings and comply with all local laws and safety regulations.

11. General
Colmore BID reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition at any time without prior notice.

Colmore BID Monthly Instagram Competitions

1. Organiser
The competition is organised by Colmore Business Improvement District (Colmore BID).

2. Eligibility
The competition is open to UK residents aged 18 and over. Employees, Board Directors, and immediate family members of Colmore BID and participating venues are not eligible to enter.

3. How to Enter
The rules on how to enter may be changed at any time. Please see individual competition post for details on how to enter. No purchase is necessary. Internet access and an Instagram account are required.

4. Entry Period
The competition opens at the time of posting and closes at the time stated in the competition post. Entries submitted after this time will not be counted.

5. Prize
The prize will be stated in the competition post and is provided by the participating venue unless otherwise specified. Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and no cash alternative is available.
Food and drink prizes may contain allergens – winners should check directly with the venue before consumption.

6. Winner Selection & Notification
The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries. The winner will be contacted via Instagram direct message from @colmorelife when the competition closes. If the winner does not respond within 24 hours, Colmore BID will select an alternative winner.

7. Prize Redemption
Prize redemption details will be provided to the winner. Colmore BID will provide the prize however Colmore BID is not responsible for the delivery or quality of third-party prizes.

8. Data Protection & Publicity
By entering, participants agree that their Instagram handle may be used in Colmore BID’s social media posts announcing the winner. Personal data will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and Colmore BID’s privacy policy:

9. Platform Disclaimer
This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram. By entering, participants release Instagram from any responsibility.
