EY-Parthenon strengthens Midlands M&A team with Director appointment

EY-Parthenon has strengthened its Midlands Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) team with the appointment of Richard Benyahia as a Director. The appointment underscores EY-Parthenon’s continued investment in the region, its national industrial sector coverage, and its growing deal advisory capability.

He brings significant experience in M&A advisory spanning over 15 years, with a strong track record advising clients across built environment consultancy, aerospace & defence, electronics, energy transition and diversified industrials.

Richard Benyahia, Director at EY-Parthenon, said: “I’m delighted to be joining EY at such a pivotal time for the team and the wider market. The strength of the Midlands business community, combined with EY-Parthenon’s integrated offering, presents a compelling platform to support clients in achieving their strategic ambitions.

“I look forward to working with colleagues across the firm to further develop our industrials offering and support businesses across the region and beyond.”

Richard’s appointment is the latest in a period of sustained investment in EY-Parthenon’s Midlands M&A team led by Jeremy Harrison, which has grown to nine professionals, following the recent appointment of Eleanor Smith as Executive.

The team is supported by Olivia Prew, recently promoted to EY-Parthenon UK M&A Origination Partner, alongside a dedicated origination support function, strengthening the firm’s ability to originate and execute deals across the region and nationally.

Having experienced a record year, the Birmingham based team have worked on notable transactions in the last 12 months including the IPO of the aerospace and defence group, Doncasters, corporate transaction advisory to Severn Trent and Inspired Thinking Group, and advising logistics group Priority Freight on their acquisition of Germany based InTime Logistik.

Jeremy Harrison, EY-Parthenon’s Head of M&A in the Midlands, said: “Richard’s appointment is another important step and investment in the growth of our Midlands M&A team and EY-Parthenon’s Industrial sector proposition.

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Richard for many years prior, so he was an obvious choice to join us as we continue to source and execute a growing pipeline of deals for the second half of the year. His expertise, values, proven track record and industrials sector will be hugely additive to the team, clients and local community”.
