Fisher German wins asset management contract with Midlands property

A leading property consultancy has been appointed as asset managers for a West Midlands-based property development and investment company.

Fisher German’s asset management team has been awarded a contract to oversee four properties from the Barberry investment portfolio, strengthening the long-standing relationship between the businesses.

Barberry is an existing client of the firm, with Fisher German already providing property management and agency services.

The new instruction will see Fisher German take on asset management responsibilities for four properties totalling approximately 100,000 sq ft predominantly located across the Midlands.

The appointment will involve day-to-day asset management initiatives and providing a range of comprehensive advice and support to the Barberry team.

The 12-month contract will provide maternity cover for Barberry’s asset manager, Emily Meddings.

James Harrop-Griffiths, partner and Head of Asset Management at Fisher German, said: “We are extremely proud to be appointed as an asset manager for Barberry and are looking forward to working even closer with the team to support their objectives.

“This instruction demonstrates the strength of our relationship with Barberry and the breadth of expertise we can provide.

“It will result in a seamless transition for Barberry who will have skilled asset managers on hand who can hit the ground running to provide any strategic support required, removing the complexity of recruiting a short-term replacement.

“We wish Emily the very best on her maternity leave and look forward to helping Barberry maximise performance across its portfolio throughout the contract.”

Henry Bellfield, Managing Director of Barberry, said: “Fisher German has a strong track record in asset management, and we are delighted to extend our relationship with the firm.

“The team’s in-depth knowledge of the Midlands market and proactive approach make them the perfect fit for the role.”
