Free Circular Economy Literacy Training Now Available for Organisations

Businesses and organisations across the UK can now access free Circular Economy Literacy Training, a new CPD-accredited course designed to help organisations understand how circular economy principles can drive innovation, reduce risk, and create new commercial opportunities.

The training has been developed in the West Midlands with support from the West Midlands Combined Authority and Sustainability West Midlands, in partnership with Cirklo Consult. The initiative aims to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and organisations looking to build a stronger understanding of how circular economy thinking can be applied in practice.

The circular economy focuses on reducing waste and keeping materials, products, and resources in use for as long as possible. For businesses, adopting circular approaches can lead to greater efficiency, lower operational risks, and new revenue opportunities, while also supporting environmental sustainability.

This training course has been designed to make these concepts accessible and practical. It includes real-world case studies, practical strategies, and insights into emerging trends, helping organisations explore how circular thinking can become a competitive advantage rather than simply a sustainability goal.

Although the course was developed in the West Midlands, it is relevant to organisations of all sizes and sectors across the UK. Participants will gain a clearer understanding of how circular economy principles can help future-proof their operations in a rapidly changing economic and environmental landscape.

As a CPD-accredited programme, the training also offers recognised professional development for individuals looking to expand their knowledge in sustainability, resource efficiency, and circular business models.

Organisations interested in learning more or enrolling in the course can access the training online here:

By increasing awareness and understanding of circular economy principles, the initiative aims to help organisations unlock new opportunities while contributing to a more resilient and sustainable economy.
