Gateley Legal secures Persimmon Homes double panel win

The legal business has been advising Persimmon Homes for nearly a quarter of a century and, a result of strong relationships and valued service delivery, has been reappointed to its land panel covering all regions without a competitive tender process.

Alongside land acquisition work, Gateley Legal has also been awarded its first appointment on Persimmon Homes’ planning panel, to support with Section 106 obligations and general planning advice to secure planning permissions for new development schemes.

In addition to residential development and planning, Gateley Legal also advises Persimmon Homes on construction work, including building and fire safety, as well as commercial property, commercial dispute resolution and tax matters. Further technical consultancy advice, in relation to utilities diversions and GIS services for land plans, is provided by Gateley Hamer – the specialist property consultancy within its wider Group.

John Kiff, residential development partner at Gateley Legal, said: “We’re really pleased to be marking the continuation of our valuable longstanding relationship with Persimmon Homes by securing a place on both its land and planning panels.

“This success reinforces our position as a trusted adviser to the national housebuilder, as we continue to strengthen our working relationship and expand our offering to include multi-disciplinary support, spanning broader legal and technical consultancy services alongside core residential development expertise.”

Gateley Legal acts for 18 of the top 20 housebuilders in the UK, on either a regional or national scale, and handles approximately £2.5bn worth of residential plot sales per year.
