Gowling WLG promotes five to partnership in 2026 round  

Gowling WLG has announced the promotion of five lawyers to its partnership, effective 1 May 2026, reflecting the firm’s continued investment in high‑performing talent across its international network. 

The new partners are: 

  • Nick Bridgman, Specialist Real Estate Services – Birmingham 
  • Simon Elliott, Corporate – Dubai 
  • Elayna Rattenbury, Housing Development and Regeneration – Birmingham 
  • Hannah Swindle, Employment – Birmingham 
  • Dr. Kathrin Weber, Corporate – Frankfurt 

The promotions recognise a commercially driven and consistently high‑performing group of lawyers who have each built strong practices and play key roles in supporting the firm’s sector‑focused growth across the UK, Middle East and Europe. 

Nick Bridgman advises real estate clients on their asset management needs within the Specialist Real Estate Services team. 

Simon Elliott is a corporate lawyer with experience advising on transactions in the technology and energy and infrastructure sectors, supporting the firm’s growth ambitions in key markets. 

Elayna Rattenbury is a partner in the Housing Development and Regeneration team and has established a strong practice advising on major residential development projects. 

Hannah Swindle is an expert in TUPE and transactional employment matters and plays a central role in supporting corporate and real estate transactions across the firm. 

Dr. Kathrin Weber is a corporate lawyer specialising in complex cross‑border M&A and will support the continued growth of the firm’s German corporate practice.
