Help us spread Christmas cheer in Ladywood!

This festive season, join us in spreading joy to children and families from the Ladywood Community Project who need it most. We’re inviting businesses across Colmore Business District to help make Christmas magical for children in Ladywood by sponsoring a gift or contributing to essential items.

Ladywood Community Project work with families who are most in need and these children are unlikely to have a Christmas experience at home without the support of District businesses.

🎁 How You Can Help 🎁

Support a Child with their Christmas wish list
We are after individuals or companies to support us in buying the children in Ladywood Christmas presents this year. If interested you will receive details on a child, such as their age, gender and a few things they love. You can then pick out a gift worth up to £30 for them, which will bring a smile to a child’s face this Christmas.

All gifts will need to be at the Colmore BID office by 21 November so that our elves can sort and deliver with plenty of time for the festive celebrations.

🎄 Bulk Gift Sponsorships
We’re also looking for local businesses to sprinkle some Christmas magic by sponsoring 15 pairs of pyjamas for local children and food vouchers for six families to help them enjoy a festive meal together.

For many families, the festive season can be a struggle — but your generosity can help bring comfort, warmth, and joy where it’s needed most.

🍪 Food donations

This Christmas, we’re calling on our wonderful community to help fill festive hampers for families in Ladywood. From tins and treats to cupboard essentials, every donation helps make the season brighter for those who need a little extra warmth this winter.

All food donations need to be received by the Colmore BID team by 12 December 2025, so our team of cheerful Christmas elves can prepare and pack the food hampers ready for delivery on 22 December — just in time to bring comfort and joy for the big day.

A few extra items on your weekly shop could make a big difference to a local family this festive period.

Below are the items they are after –

Pasta
Rice
Milk – long life
Tea
Coffee
Flour
Tinned fruit and veg
Tinned soup
Cakes and biscuits
Cereal
Toothpaste
Shower gel
Disposable Razors
Selection Boxes
Sweet Tubes

Please do not bring any fresh produce, as it will not keep.
