Jonathan Cree joins Clarke Willmott’s Commercial Property team in Birmingham

Jonathan Cree has joined national law firm Clarke Willmott as a partner in the commercial property team in its Birmingham office, bolstering the firm’s residential development capability.

He joins Clarke Willmott from Gateley, where he was a legal director specialising in residential development, acting for national developers and landowners.

Jonathan will support the firm’s growing commercial property team, focusing on high-value development deals and client advisory work in the residential and mixed-use sectors.

Phil Thompson, head of the housebuilder team at Clarke Willmott, said his arrival comes at a time of continued demand for residential development expertise.

“Jonathan’s experience acting on residential development projects, including regeneration schemes, immediate and strategic land acquisitions and affordable housing, will strengthen our ability to support clients on complex development work,” he said.

Rayner Grice, head of Clarke Willmott’s Birmingham office, added that Jonathan Cree’s appointment would bring additional depth and experience to the firm’s commercial property team.

“His practical approach to complex development transactions and knowledge of the residential market will enhance the service we provide to clients in Birmingham and across the region.”
