Professional services group, Gateley, has partnered with Birmingham-based recruitment specialists Pyvital to launch a dedicated forum for senior people leaders in the West Midlands.

The People Leaders Forum will provide an event-driven platform for senior people professionals to acquire and share knowledge, best practice and inspiration around a host of people-related topics and key challenges facing businesses.

The Forum will host a series of three events in 2025, with the first two taking place at Gateley’s Birmingham office. All events will be led by Merran Sewell, employment partner at Gateley Legal alongside Leanne Perry, director at Pyvital, providing the perfect mix of legal and tactical advice to attendees.

Speaking ahead of the upcoming events, Sewell said: “Employment law has never had a greater impact upon people management than it does currently. The People Leaders Forum will cut through the complexity of the law, delivering understandable advice that senior people professionals can implement in their businesses and will bring together an exciting mix of speakers to inspire and support attendees whilst providing valuable peer-to-peer networking.”

Perry added: “The People Leaders Forum events will provide senior people professionals across the West Midlands with the perfect opportunity to gain a greater understanding of some of the key challenges they will continue to face throughout 2025 and beyond. We will be joined by some exciting guest speakers with strong lived experiences of the HR topics we’ll be exploring, giving attendees an invaluable opportunity to learn from each other and gain invaluable insights.”

People professionals interested in attending any of the free People Leaders Forum events can email events@gateleyplc.com to register their interest.
