New senior hire at Innes England Birmingham

The Birmingham office of surveying firm Innes England has welcomed new director, Andy Johnson, to its team. 

A builder surveyor, Andy (pictured above) joins from construction consultants MPP Group, where he spent five years. He also clocked in at Mace and Faithfull+Gould during the course of his 43-year career in construction and consultancy.

Andy has extensive experience in party wall matters, neighbourly issues, dilapidations, clerk of works and project monitoring, technical due diligence, asset management, defect diagnosis and schedules of condition surveys with risk management. He is also an RICS APC counsellor. 

He has worked with prestigious clients across the Midlands. He was lead clerk of works for Jaguar Land Rover’s Triangle building at Gaydon and estate planner at their Whitley plant; he project managed refurbishment projects at BMW’s Hams Hall plant and advised Aston University and Wolverhampton University on their estate strategies. 

Andy said: “Innes England is a highly regarded business, with an ambitious growth strategy. I look forward to working with the team and being part of this journey.”

Adam Rock, who heads the Birmingham office of Innes England, added: “Andy’s appointment strengthens our team and increases the services we’re able to provide. The opportunity to provide project monitoring work from Birmingham complements our well-established valuation services. He’ll also be working in tandem with our lease consultants on building surveys, schedules of condition and dilapidation negotiations.”
