We’re excited to launch the new Safer Colmore Ambassador initiative; a programme for people who want to help make Colmore and Birmingham safer, more welcoming and more supportive for everyone.
Being a Safer Colmore Ambassador means championing the issues that matter most to our community. Ambassadors help us share important safety information, support our initiatives, and raise awareness of the work we do alongside our partners to protect, inform and empower those who live, work and visit the district.
What do Ambassadors do?
Ambassadors act as trusted community champions by:
- Sharing key safety messages
- Promoting Safer Colmore campaigns
- Raising awareness of support services and reporting routes
- Acting as ‘eyes and ears’ in workplaces and community spaces
- Championing safety, inclusivity and civic pride
It’s a flexible role, and small actions can make a big difference.
A clear, confident identity
The programme will be supported by a strong messaging toolkit to help you spread the word, including:
- An official Ambassador badge
- Simple visual assets and templates
- Clear messaging guidance
- Shareable graphics and updates

Most importantly, you’ll be part of a growing community working to improve and champion safety in Birmingham.
Expectations and Code of Conduct
We ask all Ambassadors to uphold a simple code of conduct that reflects the values of Colmore Business District and its business community.
This includes:
- Acting professionally and respectfully in all interactions with colleagues, visitors and the public
- Promoting a culture of safety, inclusion and zero tolerance towards harassment, discrimination or antisocial behaviour
- Respecting confidentiality and handling any sensitive information appropriately
- Following any guidance provided through training sessions, briefings and partner organisations
Codes of conduct are a key tool for setting clear expectations around behaviour and helping organisations maintain safe, ethical environments. By signing up as an Ambassador, you’re committing to these shared standards and helping to lead by example across the District.
Using your workplace email
To ensure the integrity and security of the network, we ask all Ambassadors to register using their workplace email address. This will help us to:
- Verify your connection to a business within the District
- Share relevant safety updates, intelligence and invitations securely
- Maintain a trusted network of verified Ambassadors across Colmore
It also ensures communications remain professional and aligned with workplace policies around data protection and information sharing, which are often built into organisational standards and guidance.
