Our Future Business District programme is about shaping a city centre that remains vibrant, resilient and relevant; not just for today, but for the years that follow.
Our journey began with the Future Business District Study, commissioned at a pivotal moment as Birmingham (and business districts everywhere) considered the long-term impact of the pandemic on city life.
The study explored how working patterns were changing, what businesses and employees would need in the years ahead, and how places can evolve to truly blend work, leisure, culture and community. It provided a powerful evidence base, shaping not only our priorities – but also the wider conversation about the future of Birmingham’s core.
