Creating a District where women feel safe, respected and supported is a fundamental part of our Safer Colmore work.
The Colmore Women’s Safety Forum brings together women from across the city core to share experiences, identify challenges and help shape meaningful change.
The group provides a space for honest conversations about safety – from the everyday realities of walking through the city to the wider cultural issues that influence how women feel at work, in venues and in public spaces.
The Forum’s insights guide our projects, inform our priorities and ensure women’s voices sit at the heart of our safety work.
The Women’s Safety Forum is delivered by the Safer Colmore working group, find out more about their work here.
Our longstanding and award‑winning partnership with the Hollie Gazzard Trust is central to our approach. The Trust — founded in memory of Hollie Gazzard — delivers life‑changing education around healthy relationships, personal safety and violence prevention. Their work helps empower individuals, informs workplaces and supports communities across the UK.
Together, we have introduced key safety initiatives across the District, strengthened training opportunities, and raised awareness of how to recognise, prevent and respond to harmful or unsafe behaviour.
We encourage businesses and individuals to explore the trusted resources available through Safer Colmore and our partners.
