Regina’s Bar & Restaurant launches new special anniversary menu

This month, Regina’s Bar & Restaurant marks its first anniversary with an elegant evening of fine dining, celebration, and live entertainment.

Taking place on Friday 27 March 2026, the restaurant will introduce a special five-course Anniversary Tasting Menu, priced at £95 per person, created exclusively for the occasion by the chef to showcase refined flavours and premium ingredients.

Since opening its doors, Regina’s has quickly established itself as one of Birmingham’s most stylish dining destinations, known for its vibrant atmosphere, Mediterranean-inspired cuisine and immersive dining experiences.

Guests will begin the evening with Champagne on arrival and a selection of canapés, setting the tone for a sophisticated night of dining and entertainment.

The anniversary tasting menu is a carefully composed culinary journey by Chef Michael Edgar who has returned to Birmingham to begin an exciting new chapter in his career. He now serves as Executive Chef at Regina’s while also overseeing the kitchen at Noel’s. Known for his technical skill, dedication, and passion for refined French and Mediterranean cuisine, Michael brings significant experience and ambition to Birmingham’s dining scene.

He trained under respected Birmingham chef Andy Waters, whose mentorship helped shape Michael’s approach to modern French and Mediterranean cooking. During this time, he developed a strong focus on ingredient-led menus, disciplined kitchen management, and a clear, contemporary culinary style.

Chef Edgar’s exclusive tasting menu begins with a pan-roasted scallop starter, served alongside slow-cooked pulled beef cheek with smooth parsnip purée and a delicate parsnip crisp.

The seafood course follows with pan-fried turbot, accompanied by buttered asparagus, hand-dived mussels and a luxurious oyster emulsion foam.

For the main course, guests will enjoy an indulgent pairing of Wagyu steak and butter-poached lobster tail, served with classic dauphinoise potatoes and finished with a rich green peppercorn and port jus.

A refreshing lemon and thyme sorbet with pink peppercorn brittle and olive oil sand offers a bright palate cleanser before the evening concludes with a delicate sweet pear mille-feuille, layered with crispy puff pastry, orange blossom Chantilly cream and a drizzle of salted caramel.

General Manager Vlad Viera said: “Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy live performances and an atmosphere of celebration, after the success of our Jason Momoa night, we hope once again that our anniversary dinner will be a memorable highlight in Birmingham’s vibrant dining calendar.”

The event reflects the restaurant’s commitment to exceptional cuisine, warm hospitality, and unforgettable dining experiences since opening its doors.
