Colmore BID is working with local filmmakers Michael B. Clifford and Sam Lockyer to make a short film about the connection between cycling and business, entitled Making Connections.
We are looking for people who could provide brief case-studies around the topic. Examples might be people who use a bike for their commute to work (newly adopted or of long-standing) and people who use a bike for some aspect of their business. The cases could be positive or negative, or a mix of the two.

About the film
Making Connections is a series of short films about cycling in Birmingham and the wider region. The series will focus on individual’s stories and their experiences of cycling, how it features in their lives and what it’s done for them. Alongside individual’s stories, the series will look at how schemes in the city have enabled people to cycle, what has been achieved so far and the challenges faced by the City Council and its partners in bringing cycling to a ‘motor’ city.

Michael B.Clifford – Two-time BAFTA award winning director of ‘Bicycle’ made with the help of Birmingham Cycle Revolution. Michael has over 30 years’ industry experience and other recent films include ’Mountain Biking: The Untold British Story’ and ‘The World’s Fastest Bicycle’.

Sam Lockyer – RTS award nominated founder of Iconic Productions who created ‘501 Not Out’ which tells the story of legendary Caribbean cricketer Brian Lara alongside short films for many high profile clients including Birmingham City Council, O2 Telefonica and Marston’s Brewery.
