Organisers of Birmingham’s popular Christmas in Cathedral Square have officially opened applications for traders to take part in this year’s festive market.
The market will run from 5 November through to 24 December 2026, bringing seasonal stalls, food, drink, and handcrafted goods to the city centre throughout the festive period.
In a bid to support local enterprise, organisers say they are introducing flexible weekly trading slots, designed to make it easier for local artisans and small businesses to participate without committing to the full duration of the market.
The initiative aims to broaden access for independent makers and emerging businesses, giving them a platform to showcase their work to thousands of visitors expected to pass through Cathedral Square during the festive season.
A spokesperson for the event said the approach reflects a continued focus on supporting the local economy while maintaining the vibrant atmosphere the market has become known for.
