Travelling with Avanti West Coast this Christmas and New Year? Here’s what passengers need to know

Avanti West Coast is adding extra services for the festive period to help passengers get to their destinations more easily. From 14 December, additional trains will run, including two trains per hour between London Euston and Liverpool Lime Street, with new stops at Liverpool South Parkway and Hartford.

For those travelling between 19 December and 4 January, all services will be Off-Peak, allowing passengers to travel at any time with an Off-Peak ticket, offering greater flexibility during the busy holiday season.

However, travellers should plan ahead as major engineering works between 27 December and 14 January will affect some routes. Services between London and Milton Keynes will be limited, with replacement buses to Northampton, and journeys to and from Manchester, Scotland, and the North West may experience changes. Passengers travelling from Birmingham or the West Midlands are advised to check their journeys before they travel to avoid disruption.

A detailed PDF guide is available for download, and further information can be found on the Avanti website at https://www.avantiwestcoast.co.uk/christmas.
