Statement: Closure of Colmore Row Parklet

Following the statement made by the Home Secretary on 6 January, 2021, Colmore BID has decided to take additional measures to protect those in the District and encourage compliance with national guidelines. As a result, the parklet on Colmore Row outside of 200 Degrees Coffee Shop has been cordoned off as it was being used as a meeting space, which is prohibited under current lockdown measures.

While we are saddened that we have had to take this action, it is in the best interest of those living, working and visiting the District, in order to keep them safe. These measures will be reviewed in line with Government guidance and we hope we can welcome back patrons soon.
