Congratulations to Richborough chief executive Paul Campbell on being crowned Businessman of the Year 2024 at The Birmingham Awards.
The award recognises Paul’s success at steering Richborough, located in Colmore Business District, to become one of the UK’s biggest and best land promoters, in turn attracting major investment and creating new jobs and a great place to work.
There were over 800 nominations for the awards, making Paul’s success a real achievement.
Paul Campbell said: “I am thrilled to have been named Businessman of the Year and I’d like to thank the whole Richborough team for their support and commitment in contributing to our success.
“Despite experiencing challenging times in our industry over the last few years, our people have innovated and shown resilience to fulfil our growth strategy. It’s an honour to be at the helm.”
Paul’s positive and people focussed leadership is pivotal to Richbrough’s success. He has created a company with a culture that people want to be part of, a consistently high-quality customer service, while always giving back – both to the communities in which we work and local charities. He’s hands on, approachable and always ahead of the game.
Paul is also an industry expert, and regularly meets various stakeholders to promote the benefits of development, steer relevant industry research papers and assist in responding to Government and Quango consultations to ensure policy is deliverable and market facing. Richborough were a founder of the Land, Planning and Developers Association, which represents over 150 member companies across the UK, and Paul is a Board Member.
