Safer Colmore Crime Reduction

Crime Reduction

Crime Reduction

Creating a safe, confident and welcoming district is central to Safer Colmore.

Our crime reduction work focuses on partnership, intelligence sharing and practical support for businesses to help everyone feel protected and connected as they go about their day.

At the core of this is our involvement in the Business Crime Reduction Partnership (BCRP). Through the BCRP, we share intelligence with neighbouring BIDs, West Midlands Police and security partners to help identify repeat offenders, reduce anti‑social behaviour and respond quickly to emerging issues. This approach means we can act earlier, share alerts faster and create a safer environment for workers, residents and visitors.

We also make use of BIDBase Locally, an app that enables businesses to report incidents, receive timely updates and contribute to a shared picture of crime and safety across the District.

Alongside these tools, we signpost businesses to trusted national resources, guidance and training opportunities to help them strengthen their own security and resilience.
