The European Doctors Orchestra (EDO) will return to Birmingham in April 2026 — and organisers are calling on local supporters and businesses to help bring the celebrated charity concert to life.
The orchestra, made up of 100 medics from across Europe, last performed in the city to a sell-out audience, raising vital funds to improve hand services at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Their 2026 concert promises to be just as inspiring, with all proceeds dedicated to creating a brand-new colorectal assessment unit for the hospital.
But before a single note can be played, the event needs sponsors.
Putting on a full symphony orchestra — with strings, brass, percussion and a 50-strong choir — comes with significant costs, from sheet music and stage hire to transporting specialist instruments. Organisers hope that local individuals and businesses will help ensure the concert can go ahead and, in turn, multiply every pound of sponsorship through ticket sales.
To make giving easy, EDO has created three sponsorship tiers, each offering recognition in the concert programme and complimentary seats:
🎵 Tier 1 – £100
Support items such as sheet music hire or sectional tutors, helping players polish their performance.
🎵 Tier 2 – £200
Sponsor instrument hire, specialist instrument transport, or help fund player participation — particularly for students and early-career doctors travelling from abroad.
🎵 Tier 3 – £500
Larger sponsors can back the soloist, the conductor, or essential stage hire, gaining programme advertising and two grand circle seats.
Bespoke sponsorship packages and additional advertising opportunities (including £50 half-page programme adverts) are also available.
With the concert taking place in April, organisers hope to confirm sponsorships by the end of February 2026, ensuring time to produce the event programme.
“Every pound of sponsorship helps us turn music into meaningful change for young patients,” the team said. “Together, we can create a concert that leaves a legacy for Birmingham’s children.”
