Birmingham Colmore has helped bring Easter cheer to families across Ladywood after coordinating a district-wide donation drive that collected more than 472 Easter eggs for local children.
The initiative, part of Colmore’s continued commitment to supporting neighbouring communities through it’s Colmore Community workstream, saw businesses from across the district come together in a fantastic display of generosity.
Over the course of several weeks, staff, offices and organisations rallied to donate hundreds of Easter eggs, ensuring children who may otherwise go without could enjoy a special treat this spring.
A number of Colmore businesses played a key role in the campaign, including generous contributions from:
- Aviva
- Colmore Partners
- Intex Projects
- Colliers
- Headoffice Accountants
- Rothschild & Co
- 103 Colmore Row
- Squire Patton Boggs
- …and many more organisations and individuals across the district.
The donations were delivered to community partners in Ladywood who work directly with families experiencing hardship. Their teams will now distribute the eggs to local children in time for Easter celebrations.
Speaking about the initiative, Kelsey Dwyer, Events & Partnerships Manager at Birmingham Colmore said the response reflects the district’s strong sense of community and willingness to support those in need:
“We’re incredibly proud of the compassion shown by our business community. Every Easter egg donated represents a moment of joy for a child in Ladywood, and it’s thanks to the kindness of our colleagues across the district that we can help make that happen.”
Birmingham Colmore will continue to work closely with Ladywood organisations throughout the year to support community needs and strengthen ties between the city centre and surrounding neighbourhoods.
