BIRMINGHAM, 24 September, 2026 – Aon plc (NYSE: AON) a leading global professional services firm, has welcomed six graduates and an industrial placement student to its Birmingham office as part of its Early Careers programme.
The new recruits will gain meaningful hands-on experience, and alongside developing their technical and professional skills, they will work with colleagues and clients while receiving support and guidance from across the firm.
The graduates have joined ‘Launch’, Aon’s graduate programme, which is designed to support high achievers as they make the transition from university into full-time employment. Through a combination of practical experience, structured development and professional qualifications, the programme equips graduates with the skills and knowledge to build successful long-term careers at Aon.
As artificial intelligence continues to reshape the workplace and particularly entry-level roles, Aon has worked with its Workforce Transition Talent Consulting team to review its Early Careers roles and ensure participants develop the skills they will need to succeed alongside emerging technologies.
Toluwaniyin Adeleye, who has joined Aon following a degree at Birmingham University, said:
“Starting my career with Aon is a fantastic opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues while gaining practical experience from the outset. I’m looking forward to developing my skills, taking on new challenges and building my career as part of the Birmingham team.”
Gareth Jones, Birmingham Investment Team Lead, said:
“It’s always good to welcome another year’s graduates to Aon. While there is considerable discussion about the potential impact of AI on early career roles, reducing investment in this talent would be the wrong response. Graduates remain fundamental to building the skills, ideas and leadership that businesses will need in the future.
“Our focus is therefore on evolving roles and developing talent alongside technological innovation. By combining practical experience with structured learning and exposure to new ways of working, we can equip our graduates with the technical and human skills they need to embrace change, make a valuable contribution to our clients and build successful long-term careers at Aon.”
Emmanuel Odunsi graduated from Nottingham Trent University before joining Aon. He said:
“Aon’s graduate programme stood out because of the combination of structured development, professional learning and practical experience it offers. I’m excited to begin building my career, learn from people across the firm and contribute to the work of the Birmingham team.”
