Aon Welcomes Four Apprentices to its Birmingham Office

Aon plc (NYSE: AON) a leading global professional services firm, has welcomed four apprentices to its Birmingham office as part of its Early Careers programme.

Over the course of their apprenticeship, the new recruits will earn while they learn, combining structured study with meaningful hands-on experience. Working alongside experienced colleagues, they will contribute to client projects while developing their technical knowledge, workplace skills and wider professional capabilities.

Jack Sabine, who has joined Aon as an apprentice, said:

“I knew I wanted to continue learning, but I was also keen to begin my career and gain practical experience rather than follow a full-time university route. Aon’s apprenticeship programme gives me the opportunity to do both while working towards a professional qualification, and I’m looking forward to learning from colleagues and developing my skills as part of the Birmingham team.”

Chris Barley, head of office at Aon in Birmingham, said:

“There is more than one route into a successful and rewarding career, and apprenticeships enable talented people to enter professions such as ours, gain recognised qualifications and develop valuable experience from the outset.

“Employers have an important role to play in turning that ambition into meaningful opportunities, particularly as AI reshapes early career roles and the skills people will need in the future. At Aon, our focus is on evolving those roles and developing talent alongside technological innovation, ensuring apprentices gain the technical knowledge, practical experience and human skills they need to build successful long-term careers.”
