Barclays has reaffirmed its commitment to community engagement by hosting a special workshop in support of the local primary school in Ladywood.

Thanks to a new initiative, on the 13th June, local employees from Barclays volunteered and supported students (Year 6) from Ladywood Primary School for a day of workshops including financial literacy.

The event was organised by Colmore BID, the business improvement district for Birmingham’s commercial quarter, which continues to be a strong advocate for educational outreach in the region, holding strong ties to schools and community groups in Ladywood.

“We’d like to share our heartfelt thanks to the volunteers from Barclays for supporting a fantastic workshop to inspire young minds in the local community,” said Kelsey Dwyer, Events and Partnerships Manager at Colmore BID. “This reflects our shared belief in the power of education and opportunity to transform lives.”

Shantel Claire from Barclays Branch office said: “We’re proud to have supported the young people of Ladywood, helping to equip them with tools for a brighter future, it is a great initiative” said. “Workshops like these provide vital support to and are a great way to inspire confidence and curiosity in the next generation.”
