Help local children with Ladywood Community Project’s pants & socks appeal

For many families, the rising cost of living continues to make everyday essentials increasingly difficult to afford. Clothing, food, energy bills and other household expenses are stretching budgets beyond breaking point, leaving parents having to make impossible choices.

That’s why we’re proud to support the Ladywood Community Project’s Children’s Pants & Socks Appeal – helping local children aged 3–11 receive the basic essentials they need.

A Small Donation That Makes a Big Difference

While pants and socks may seem like simple everyday items, they are among the most requested essentials by families accessing support through Ladywood Community Project. They are also some of the least frequently donated.

Every child deserves to have clean underwear and warm socks to help them feel comfortable, confident and ready for school and everyday life.

We’re asking local businesses and individuals to donate:

  • New children’s pants (ages 3–11)
  • New children’s socks (ages 3–11)

Please note: For hygiene reasons, only new, unopened items can be accepted.

How You Can Help

If you’d like to support this appeal, you can:

  • Drop your donations off at our space, or
  • Arrange for us to collect them from your workplace.

All donations must be received by Wednesday 8 July at 3.30pm.

To arrange a collection or drop-off, please email kelsey.dwyer@birminghamcolmore.co.uk.

Help Us Reach More Families

If you’re unable to donate, you can still make a difference by sharing this appeal with your colleagues, friends and networks. Every pack of pants or socks donated helps ensure a local child has the essentials they need.

Together, we can support families across our community and help ensure every child has access to life’s basic necessities.

Thank you for supporting Ladywood Community Project and helping local children thrive.
