Birmingham Colmore, the curators of Colmore Life is set to bring a brand new, free-to-attend festival to Birmingham this September, celebrating the region’s remarkable transport heritage and future ambitions.

Brum Transport Fest will take place on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 September 2026, activating locations across the city centre as the West Midlands’ extraordinary role in the UK’s transport story takes centre stage.

The festival will spotlight the region’s legacy of motor engineering excellence and innovation, bringing together organisations, partners and enthusiasts to mark Birmingham’s past, present and future in transport.

Speaking about the festival, Melanie Williams, Board Director and lead of the Colmore Placemaking Working Group, said:“Brum Transport Fest will be a celebration of what makes Birmingham and the West Midlands region the home of makers and innovators. We’re excited to invite the public to come together this September and share in the pride, creativity and ambition that continue to drive our region forward.”

The full programme will be released soon, but for now, save the date.
