Canaccord Wealth announces acquisition of EFG Harris Allday

Canaccord Wealth is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement to acquire the front office teams and client assets of EFG Harris Allday.

Currently operating as a division of EFG Private Bank, which is part of EFG International, EFG Harris Allday is a UK-based wealth management business focused on affluent clients predominantly in the Midlands. The EFG Harris Allday team is entrusted with approximately £3.1 billion in client assets and generated annual revenue of £20.3 million in the year ended December 31, 2025.

With teams in Birmingham and Shrewsbury, EFG Harris Allday’s deep local expertise and client focused approach is expected to further strengthen Canaccord Wealth’s position as a leading integrated wealth manager in the UK. Advisers will benefit from expanded capabilities and infrastructure, while clients will gain access to a broader range of wealth planning advice and investment solutions through a seamless, integrated service.

David Esfandi, Chief Executive Officer of Canaccord Wealth (UK) said: “We are pleased to welcome the talented professionals from EFG Harris Allday, who share our ambition to deliver the very best client service and outcomes. This acquisition is a strong strategic fit, adding to our established teams and capabilities while also expanding our footprint across the Midlands with the addition of a new office in Shrewsbury.

“Importantly, it creates an opportunity to bring our established wealth planning capability to a broader group of clients across the region. By combining EFG Harris Allday’s strong client relationships and investment expertise with our financial planning advice, we can offer clients a truly integrated wealth management experience.”

A spokesperson from Birmingham Colmore said: “We are pleased to see Canaccord Wealth and EFG Harris Allday joining forces to create one of the region’s leading wealth management businesses. This investment reinforces Colmore’s reputation as a centre for professional and financial services excellence, while demonstrating the continued confidence that firms have in the city’s vibrant business community. We look forward to seeing the combined business build on its strong local presence and contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the Midlands economy.”

Completion of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to occur in the second half of calendar 2026.
