Colmore BID feeds 200 individuals in Ladywood in partnership with Thomas Franks caterers

Colmore Business District (BID) has partnered with local organisations in the Ladywood Ward over several years, as part of the organisations Community Building Working Group.

As one of the most deprived areas in the country, Colmore BID continue offer much-needed support to the Ladywood community, including working closely with St John’s and St Peter’s C of E School.

On Thursday 29 August, Colmore BID will host the ‘Supporting Our Neighbours’ event, aimed at providing direct support to children and families.

As part of this initiative, 200 individuals in the area will receive meals, thanks to a partnership with Thomas Franks caterers. This event is a key part of Colmore BID’s Community Building Working Group, demonstrating a continued commitment to uplifting the Ladywood community.

Kelsey Dwyer, Partnerships and Events Manager at Colmore BID said: “Supporting schools and children in the Ladywood community is crucial to building a brighter future for everyone. By investing in events that support families and children with creativity and nourishment – we’re not just addressing immediate needs but fostering long-term growth and opportunity in areas like Ladywood.

Every small act of support can make a lasting difference in the lives of these children and their families, helping to break the cycle of deprivation and create a stronger, more resilient community. We’re so grateful to the Thomas Franks for their support in this initiative.”
