Leading Midlands law firm smashes charity fundraising target with £24,000 raised for Children’s Leukaemia Research

A prominent legal practice has exceeded its annual fundraising target, raising £24,000 for national blood cancer charity Cure Leukaemia throughout 2025 as one of the pioneering members of the charity’s Club 10 initiative.

Davisons Law, which employs over 500 staff across 20 locations throughout England and Wales, pledged £10,000 per year when it joined Club 10 as a founding member to support the charity’s UK wide ATICUS Paediatric Transplant Trials Network. The firm has more than doubled this commitment through additional fundraising activities and event sponsorships.

The £24,000 total was achieved through a combination of the Club 10 membership, sponsorship of Cure Leukaemia’s Run the Nations and London 2 Paris events, and employee-led fundraising initiatives throughout the year.

Darryl Wilkes, Equity Director at Davisons Law, said: “We set out to make a meaningful difference to Cure Leukaemia’s vital work, and I’m incredibly proud of our team for smashing our target. As our chosen charity of the year, supporting research that gives children fighting blood cancer access to potentially life-saving treatments has been both humbling and inspiring. The dedication shown by our staff across all 20 offices has been remarkable, and this achievement reflects our collective commitment to making a real impact.”

James McLaughlin, Chief Executive at Cure Leukaemia, said: “The support from Davisons Law has been nothing short of incredible for Cure Leukaemia, and we are absolutely delighted to have them as part of our charity family. What stands out most is the incredible spirit and personal commitment shown by their employees; seeing so many of the team take on grueling physical challenges and lead their own fundraising efforts is truly inspiring.’’

This isn’t just a one-off donation; the business’s commitment to extended, long-term support through initiatives like Club 10 provides the stability our clinical teams need. It means we have the secured funding required to plan ahead and deliver the very best, life-saving opportunities for children battling blood cancer across the UK. We are immensely grateful to everyone at Davison’s Law for helping us bring hope to so many families.

The ATICUS Network will operate across eleven children’s hospitals nationwide including Great Ormond Street Hospital and Birmingham Children’s Hospital requiring £1 million annually to fund clinical research trials for children. Club 10 members play a vital role in sustaining these life-saving clinical trials, with Davisons Law joining a select group of founding corporate supporters committed to advancing treatments for children battling blood cancer.

As a Club 10 member, Davisons Law receives regular updates on the network’s progress, opportunities to meet clinicians and research nurses, patient stories, and attendance at the annual Club 10 Thank You Dinner.

The firm has committed to continuing its support of Cure Leukaemia throughout 2026, with plans to maintain its Club 10 membership and ongoing fundraising activities.
