New appointment boosts law firm’s commercial litigation offering

Law firm mfg Solicitors has bolstered its commercial litigation department with the appointment of a new senior associate.

Commercial and civil litigation specialist Ian Sheppard has joined the firm’s Birmingham office, working closely with partner and head of department, Sam Pedley.

Representing a variety of clients over the past 20 years, Ian joins mfg Solicitors from Sydney Mitchell and will advise individuals, businesses and business owners on a host of commercial and civil litigation matters, including shareholder and director disputes, professional negligence claims, contract and banking disputes, and court injunctions.

Sam Pedley, partner and head of the commercial litigation department at mfg Solicitors said: “Ian joining us adds further expertise, experience and depth to the team.

“He is a renowned litigator who has represented countless individuals and businesses for over two decades. We’re delighted he has joined the firm and he is already making an impact as we grow further across the region, but especially in Birmingham.”

Ian Sheppard added: “I am very excited to join Sam and the team at mfg Solicitors. The firm has a superb reputation regionally and nationally, so to be part of that is a tremendous opportunity for me.

“I look forward to contributing throughout the months and years ahead, not just to the team, but the firm as a whole.”

Ian is also a member of the Law Society.
