Ultrafast Broadband

These days having a reliable and fast broadband connection is an essential to the vast majority of businesses, not only in order for them to retain customers but also to win new customers as well.

Unfortunately however not every business is able to have ultrafast broadband, this could be down to one or a number of reasons such as:

– It’s simply not available

– It’s simply too expensive to install

The majority of businesses within the UK believe that having ultrafast and reliable broadband is a business essential and they would really struggle to operate without it.

Ultrafast broadband brings numerous benefits, all different for each business. It means efficient use of cloud services, easy and reliable access to software-as-a-service (SaaS), it ensures that employees no longer have to compete for access to slow and limited Broadband services, it opens up new avenues such as providing flexible working for employees so that they can work from home and access company systems remotely. It also provides efficiency improvements and cost savings through improved online sales and marketing, improved online ordering and invoicing, enhanced video conferencing and improved access to cloud based services so businesses can back up information instantly – these are just to name a few!

With all of this mind, Colmore BID has come up with a solution to offer this service to the district with NO UPFRONT COSTS involved to the business and very competitive prices from a plethora of providers moving forward.

Through a Government initiative called the Gigabit Voucher Scheme, businesses within the District are eligible for funding of up to £2,500 each to cover the costs of upgrading the infrastructure network. To get the whole District’s infrastructure up to date is going to cost significantly more than £2,500, however with the Gigabit Voucher scheme businesses are allowed to pool their vouchers into one big lump sum which in turn can then be used to cover the costs of upgrading the infrastructure for the whole District.

We are now actively looking for businesses who want to take advantage of this funding opportunity while it lasts and get ultrafast broadband directly to your premises while at the same time future-proofing the District’s data capability.
