A man has been charged over the stabbing of a woman in Colmore Business District on 16 August 2022. The incident, which was attended by Colmore BID and Central BID Security Staff and West Midlands Police occurred around 9.50 am on Temple Row. A member of the Colmore BID team pursued the offender, assisting in his arrest. The victim, who is known to the man, was treated in hospital and has been discharged.
Incidents of this nature are rare in the District and this was a targeted attack against an individual, however, the Street Operations team continue to be vigilant and work with partners to reduce violence and anti-social behaviour and its impact on the District.
