Call for Colmore Professionals to Inspire the Next Generation with Smart Works Birmingham

Professionals working in the Colmore Business District are being called upon to support a life-changing cause. Smart Works Birmingham, a charity that helps women back into employment through coaching and professional clothing, is seeking corporate volunteers—particularly professional women—to attend outreach events across the region.

From job fairs and community centres to schools and cultural hubs, these events provide vital opportunities for aspiring women to meet role models who can share their career journeys, challenges, and successes. Smart Works is especially keen to hear from women of all ages, backgrounds, and seniority who are willing to offer insight and encouragement to potential service users.

This is a unique and rewarding opportunity for local businesses to fulfil their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals, especially for schemes that allow employees one day a year to volunteer. Just one day can make a real difference to the lives of women striving to build their careers.

Smart Works Birmingham also welcomes interest from businesses interested in sponsoring a client, choosing the charity as their charity of the year, or inviting the team in to share more about the service.

If you or your business are interested in getting involved, please contact Ann Powell, Centre Manager at ann.powell@smartworks.org.uk, or Lilly Clements, Partnerships and Fundraising Manager at lilly.clements@smartworks.org.uk.
