BNP Paribas Personal Finance and Arval UK support Changan UK’s entrance in the UK automotive market

A new automotive brand, Changan UK, has entered the UK market after signing a financial services agreement with BNP Paribas Personal Finance and Arval UK.

BNP Paribas Personal Finance now provides dealers and customers with a full range of finance solutions, offering more choice for UK consumers in search of a new car. To mark its entry to the UK automotive market, Changan UK launched their first UK model the Deepal S07 fully electric SUV available across 20 dealer sites with a plan to increase to 40 dealerships by the end of 2025.

This new partnership enables the global car manufacturer to expand its presence beyond Europe and Asia that has been built over the last 40 years, by partnering with a trusted financial provider that can offer UK dealers and customers the range of flexible finance solutions required to succeed in a competitive market.

The partnership comes as a result of an industry-leading one-bank solution which combines BNP Paribas’ expertise and capabilities, BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK’s consumer finance offering, and Arval UK’s fleet and contract management services.

The launch also builds on BNP Paribas’ existing network of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) across the world, and the development of this partnership in the UK supports its strategy of supporting OEMs across multiple markets, Stephen Hunt, CEO of BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK, said: “The motor finance division of our business is going from strength to strength and as the momentum continues to build, I am delighted to be expanding our portfolio of OEMs with this new partnership with Changan UK.

“This partnership is further evidence of the power of collaboration between BNP Paribas Personal Finance and Arval UK and is reflective of our combined expertise, capabilities and credibility among consumers and partners that supports our partners with solutions to help people purchase a new car through flexible and affordable instalments.”

Elliot Woodhead, Retail Director of Arval UK, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting Changan’s growth in the UK, with the launch across Deepal S07. The expansion in this partnership is further evidence of how the combined capabilities of BNP Paribas Personal Finance and Arval are providing an extensive range of solutions to support manufacturers and customers in the UK and across Europe.”

Nic Thomas, Managing Director of Changan UK, said: “This partnership with BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK marks a significant milestone for Changan as we expand our UK footprint. By combining our product line with BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK’s financial expertise in automotive finance, we are able to provide our dealers and customers with the confidence and flexibility they need to embrace the Changan brand. This will give us the operational foundation to grow quickly and sustainably in the UK.”
