Squire Patton Boggs is pleased to announce that senior corporate lawyer Claire O’Connor has been promoted to partner.

Claire has spent her entire career with the firm, having joined as a trainee in 2010.  She advises domestic and international corporates (both privately owned and private equity backed) and financial institutions on cross-border M&A and complex reorganisations as well as board advisory work. Claire excels in building client relationships at general counsel and c-suite level, including with key clients in financial services and industrials verticals and her specialism in reorganisations provides broader-ranging, high-value advice to significant corporate clients.

Her extensive experience has been complemented by secondments to various clients over the years including at a private equity fund and an international packaging manufacturer.

Claire is one of several partners that Squire Patton Boggs has welcomed in recent months, underscoring the firm’s commitment to growing its Birmingham office.  Last week, Intellectual Property and Technology partner Matt Harris joined the firm, following the recent arrival of transactional partners Alison Davidson-Cox, Deborah Brown and Partho Chaudhuri.

The firm has also announced that it will be moving to a new office in Birmingham later this year.
