Downstairs at The Grand Launches New Friday Night Cabaret Dining Experience

A new weekly spectacle of music, dining, and performance has arrived at The Grand. Beginning this season, the venue’s intimate space, Downstairs at The Grand, will host an evening of cabaret every Friday, blending West End–worthy entertainment with fine dining.

Guests are welcomed into the candlelit setting from 19:00, before being seated for a curated three-course dinner at 19:30. As dishes arrive, so too do the performers: a rotating cast of singers, dancers, and musicians delivering rich harmonies and velvet-toned vocals in sets woven seamlessly between courses. The result is an immersive dining experience where cabaret icons come alive just feet from the table.

Musical numbers are matched with a menu designed to impress. Starters include dishes such as celeriac velouté with truffle oil, smoked duck breast with bitter leaves, and king scallops with Comté and smoked sausage. Mains range from roasted halibut with chateau potatoes to braised ox cheek in a rich Bourgignon sauce, while desserts span from a classic crème brûlée to pumpkin spiced petit gâteaux. A glass of fizz is included in the £55 ticket price, with premium add-ons like Champagne Collet available.

The ambiance is as much a part of the evening as the food and music. Audiences can expect a setting of flickering candles, smooth piano riffs, and cocktails designed to match the mood, creating a cabaret experience unlike any other in the city.

With its blend of theatricality and gastronomy, Downstairs at The Grand’s Friday night cabaret promises to become a fixture for those seeking something more than dinner and a show – it’s dinner within the show.

Bookings are now open through OpenTable.
