Birmingham-based national land promoter Richborough has appointed Mel Slaney-Smith as Senior Disposals Manager as its number of land disposals continues to grow exponentially.

Richborough’s Birmingham team are based from Waterloo House in Colmore Business District.

Mel previously worked for Spitfire Homes as Senior Land Manager, focusing on immediate land acquisitions.

In her new role, Mel supports Group Disposals Director Jordan Gresham and Disposals Director Hannah Deverell with the disposal of land to residential and commercial development partners.

This includes working in conjunction with each of the Regional teams and Group functions to ensure disposals are efficiently managed, development risks are mitigated, and business objectives are met.

Jordan commented: “Last year, our Disposals team successfully facilitated the sale of 11 sites, with the potential to deliver more than 2,000 new homes and 70,000 square metres of employment and retail space.

“This year, we aim to dispose of over 20 sites for both residential and commercial development. We are thrilled to have Mel on board to support our efforts and ensure we deliver the best value for our landowner and development partners.”

Mel added: “’Richborough has a great reputation in the industry and l have always admired the company’s success story. Richborough has exciting growth plans and l am proud to now be a part of the journey where l can utilise my previous experience. “
