Richborough Appoints Neil Oxley As Senior Urban Designer

National land promoter Richborough has appointed Neil Oxley as Senior Urban Designer at its Birmingham headquarters.

Neil joins from Barratt Homes and previously worked at Pegasus Group and other housebuilders and consultancies, bringing over 25 years’ industry experience.

Working with Richborough’s group design director Charlotte Lewis, Neil helps bolster the design excellence Richborough strives to provide across all its proposed residential and mixed use developments, from conception to completion.

This includes the evaluation of site constraints and opportunities, and the preparation of detailed site layouts and masterplans to support outline planning applications.

Neil said: “Having worked previously as a consultant with Richborough I got to know the business, the people and the values and it was these aspects, together with the professionalism and exceptional projects, that drew me to join the team.

“I enjoy working on the varied projects, into which I can apply my design and management skills. Richborough also has a great team ethic with everyone working together to resolve any challenges that may present.”

Charlotte Lewis added: “At Richborough we pride ourselves on going the extra mile with our design and technical support, to ensure our schemes are best placed to secure planning permission and deliver the best returns for landowners, our development partners and local communities.

“Neil has an excellent reputation for his expertise in the housebuilding industry and we are delighted to welcome him to Richborough. He brings a fantastic range of skills which compliment those we already have and adds extra capacity at a senior level to our busy team. In the short time Neil has been with us he has overviewed planning applications and made a positive impact to the team.”
