On Saturday 25 September, Colmore BID will join tens of thousands of people as we march as part of the Birmingham Pride Parade and we’d like you to join us.
This year, Colmore BID will have its own float as part of the Birmingham Pride Parade March and we’re looking for people from the District to join us on the float and be part of the walking parade. The theme for this year’s Birmingham Pride is Stronger Together and after a year where many, especially those within the LGBTQ+ community, have felt isolated and alone, we couldn’t think of a more important theme.
Birmingham Pride held its first event back in 1997. Over the following 24 years Birmingham Pride has become one of the most important LGBTQ+ festivals in the UK attracting in excess of 40,000 people over the course of the weekend to the festival site in the heart of the LGBTQ+ village and over 75,000 participating in or watching our annual pride parade through the streets of Birmingham.
This year, as a result of the global covid pandemic, the Birmingham Pride festival will be held over the weekend of Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 September 2021 with further events held from Thursday 23 September 2021.
